Plantar Fasciitis: Why It Keeps Coming Back (And What Actually Helps)
If you've tried stretching, rest and pharmacy insoles and the pain keeps returning, here's what most people miss.

What it actually is
A small band of tissue, doing a very big job.
The plantar fascia is a thick band of tissue that runs along the bottom of your foot, connecting your heel to your toes. When it's under repeated mechanical stress, from the wrong arch support, long hours on your feet, or simply the way your foot naturally sits, it becomes inflamed. That's plantar fasciitis.
The classic symptom is a sharp, stabbing pain in the heel with your first steps in the morning, easing as you move, and returning after long periods of rest or standing.
And the reason it often doesn't resolve with rest alone is that the underlying alignment issue is still there. You can rest the inflammation away for a week, but if your foot's mechanics haven't changed, the load comes straight back.
Who tends to get it
Active people. People who stand or walk all day for work. People with flat arches, high arches, or feet that roll inward. Adults aged 40–60. People who've recently changed their activity or their shoes.

The honest part
You've probably already tried some of these.
If they haven't worked for you, it's not because you haven't tried hard enough. Here's why each one tends to give short-term relief without lasting change.
Rest and ice
Reduces the inflammation, which feels like progress, but doesn't touch the mechanical load that caused the inflammation in the first place.
Stretching and physio exercises
Genuinely useful, and worth keeping. But if the alignment issue isn't corrected, the fascia keeps getting overloaded between sessions.
Pharmacy insoles
Soft cushioning feels great on day one. It isn't fitted to your specific arch, and it isn't built to correct alignment, so the relief fades within weeks.
New shoes
Better shoes help, but a generic shoe still isn't fitted to your specific foot mechanics. You may have swapped one mismatch for a slightly better one.
Waiting it out
Acute plantar fasciitis can resolve on its own. Chronic cases, three months or more, rarely improve without addressing the root cause.
Stronger painkillers
They mask the pain so you can keep loading the fascia at the same intensity. Helpful for a flare. Not a strategy.
The difference
What changes when support is fitted to your specific foot.
Generic cushioning softens the impact. Structural alignment support changes the load itself, taking pressure off the plantar fascia by putting your foot back into the position it's designed to work in.
We don't sell one arch support. We carry 300+ combinations of arch height, length and shape, so the support actually matches your specific foot, not an average of all feet.
- Structured support, not soft cushioning, you'll feel the difference in the first fitting
- Personally Fitted from 300+ combinations to match your arch and biomechanics
- Three supports work together across activity, work and recovery
- Lifetime structural warranty on the supports themselves

Real recovery stories
Months of pain. Weeks to relief.
"I'd had heel pain for 14 months. I'd tried everything, physio, stretches, three different pairs of pharmacy insoles. After getting fitted online and wearing them for two weeks, I could get through a full day without pain."

"I'm a nurse. Twelve-hour shifts on hard floors. The morning steps were the worst, I'd brace myself before getting out of bed. Three weeks in, that bracing habit is gone."
Michael T.

"What surprised me was how firm they felt at first. Not what I expected at all. But that's exactly the point, soft insoles were never going to do this job."
